REGARDING RECENT OWNERSHIP CHANGE & IMPROVEMENTS TO THE RESORT
When did Tribesman change ownership & management? Who are the new owners?
- From early 2021 to November 2022, Tribesman was in a bit of a limbo status with a possible sale which did not end up going through. In November of 2022, it sold to a different group not connected to the previous owners or management company. Full ownership and management officially transferred beginning of January 2023.
- Two families partnered on this purchase: The Smith and Davies families. Both families are local to the area, and they are so excited for this new adventure! They hope you love the improvements that are being made to the resort! Tribesman has a decades-long history, with many great guests who have been coming for years. The owners respect and appreciate that, and here at Tribesman we welcome you back! We appreciate your patience as we work to improve things and build upon the successes and traditions of years past.
What improvements are being made to the Resort?
- As of January 2023 we are currently working on renovating/updating all units. Many units hadn't been significantly "touched" for decades, so they're getting an interior facelift! New flooring, paint, appliances, furniture, lighting, etc. The exteriors will remain roughly the same.
- We are moving and improving the Game Room! This will be a fun, free space for all to use! Still a work in progress, so details and pictures to follow.
- New guest-use laundry will be installed in what was formerly the main office. As travelers ourselves, we know how important having convenient laundry is, and we wanted to make that more available to our guests!
- Significant upgrades to the WIFI service throughout the resort. This was one of the top complaints of recent guests, and we wanted to respond to that by completely redoing and improving the whole system!
Will there be construction during my stay?
- We plan to be done with most of the significant work mentioned above by the end of March 2023. So if you're traveling for Spring Break you may notice some work going on. That being said, none of this should be very disruptive or noisy work.
If I'm a returning guest who has been coming to Tribesman for a while, what other changes might I notice?
-
First of all, THANK YOU! It's guests like you who have made it possible for Tribesman to be around for DECADES. With your continued support, we hope to continue the tradition!
- We have improved self check-in and checkout procedures, which means an on-site office was no longer necessary. So you will notice that what was formerly the Office is now FREE guest-use laundry and a FREE game room. We hope you enjoy these additions! (Pictures coming soon)
- You'll notice we have renumbered the units. If you were used to a certain unit number, please visit the "Unit #'s" page.
- We hope you also appreciate the new and improved signage for navigating around the Resort.
- We've invested in water systems that will drastically improve the well water, which historically had a strong smell and taste of sulfur.

-
Yes, but....
-
We are right on Table Rock Lake. However, please note that with the shape of the property (it hooks around a cove of the lake) some units and parts of the property are closer to the water than others. All units require a walk to get to the water, around 300-500 feet down a gently sloping hill.
-
Also, there is Army Corps land between resort properties/amenities and the lake/docks. Portions of this land are somewhat primitive. Please see the Resort Map for more information (coming soon). Please also see notes about the docks below.

-
Yes, we have 2 docks with a couple dozen slips!
-
Dock 1 is directly accessible from the main resort property (about 300-500 feet from most units, plan to walk down a gently sloping hill).
-
Dock 2 is accessible down the street a bit (a 2-minute drive or a 5-6 minute walk). Please refer to the Resort Map (coming soon!). Dock 1 is where the boat rentals are, Dock 2 is the swim dock and is located near the boat launch.
